Heavy thunderstorms and torrential rainfall in the past few days have caused widespread damage to roadways and has ruined hay crops in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties.
Lincoln County Emergency Manager Wendi Marcy said a number of roads were closed in the county, including some highways on Sunday.

Election July 13

Voters throughout Lincoln County will decide two propositions during a special election on Tuesday, July 13.
Proposition 1 is for establishing a countywide ambulance service district and Proposition 2 is for construction of a new county jail.

It’s almost the Fourth of July weekend, and towns across Lincoln County are having events.
Chandler will have a fireworks show at 10 p.m. at Bell Cow Lake on July 4. It will be put on by the Chandler Fire Department, and there is no cost.

10 more COVID cases in the counties

The number of new cases in Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties attributed to COVID-19 has risen by only 10, Oklahoma State Department of Health figures show.
No new deaths have occurred in either county since the last report, according to the OSDH.
