Allison Radcliffe, an 8th grade Pre-APEnglish student in Chandler Jr. High School, won first place in the 5th -8th grade division of the Wonder City Wordfest 2023 Oklahoma Poem Contest. There were 553 entries.

Arson charge dropped

A second degree arson charge filed against a Meeker area man in January has been dismissed by the state. Youlha Rhodes, 39, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Jan. 13 with second degree arson. Rhodes appeared before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk Jan.

Commissioners approve three District 1 projects

Lincoln County commissioners this week adopted a County Roads and Bridge Project resolution for three projects in District 1. District 1 Commissioner Will Fine said the estimated cost of the projects totals $78,187.50.

Bench warrant issued

A bench warrant has been issued for a Wellston man on a felony charge after he has failed to register as a violent offender. A formal charge of Violation of the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Registration Act was filed April 24 in Lincoln County District Court against Chad Ray Mullendore, 38.

Democrats to meet
