Three students from Lincoln County were awarded scholarships from the Ferguson College of Agriculture at Oklahoma State University for the 2025-26 academic year on Sept. 2, according to a press release from the university.
David Claytor from Wellston received the Joseph Fleming Memorial Freshman Scholarship. Claytor is studying Biosystems Engineering. Cooper Kline from Chandler received the Martha Burger Endowed FFA Leadership Scholarship. Kline is studying Agricultural Education. Josie Murray from Wellston received the Ben and Alma Grant Scholarship. Murray is studying Animal Science.
The Ferguson College awarded more than $1.8 million in scholarships through its various academic departments, with students from all areas of study considered, the press release said.
“We are proud to support our new students as they begin their academic careers in the Ferguson College,” said Cynda Clary, associate dean of academic programs. “We look forward to seeing the accomplishments they will have and are grateful for our donors, who support these scholarships and the success of our students.”
