Walkingstick Complex advances to governor

A bill naming the National Guard’s colocated readiness and joint operating facilities the Benjamin T. Walkingstick National Guard Complex is currently on Gov. Kevin Stitt’s desk, awaiting signature.

HB2769, authored by Rep. Trey Caldwell, was passed by the House of Representatives on May 20 and sent to the Senate, where it passed on May 22.

It also amends numerous provisions related to the powers, duties, qualifications, pay and retirement benefits of the adjutant general and changes provisions of the Oklahoma Uniform Code of Military Justice.

It will go into effect in November 2025.
