Week of March 15-21 Chandler
For the week, 2-2. Wins over Allen (7-5) and Tupelo (8-6). Losses to Valliant (20-1) and Plainview (12-2). Record: 4-4 for the season.
Against Allen, the Lady Lions got off to an early lead and then came from behind to win with a pair of runs in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Elli Hilgenfeld had three of Chandler’s 10 hits, while Brenlee Corea, Marly Buys and Halle Herrmann scored twice each.
Against Tupelo, Ruthie Capps belted two doubles and drove in three runs as the Lady Lions came back from an early 4-0 deficit.
Hilgenfeld tripled and drove home two runs. She and Herrmann scored two times each.
Hilgenfeld put up a team-high .500 batting average through eight games and led the Lady Lions with six RBI.
Dale
Wins over Ripley (190) and Lone Grove (90). Record: 2-0 for the season.
Daley Lang bashed two homers and drove in six runs against Ripley. She went yard with two runners on in the first and with one aboard in the seventh.
Kinley Patten and Kelbey Welcher also went deep for the DLPs. Boo Herber, Brooke Sheline, Lang, Holland Herring, Patten Welcher and Maycee Welcher had doubles and Salem Flatt had a triple.
Lang, Patten and Kelbey Welcher all homered against Lone Grove. Patten had a double and single to go along with her home run and Sheline, Kelbey Welcher and Flatt had doubles.
McLoud
For the week: 2-3. Wins over Silo (8-6) and Healdton (18-4). Losses to Choctaw (10-6), Pocola (15-6) and Tushka (5-2). Record: 4-4 for the season.
Avery Soward dove home Miley Hiklin and Lexy Patterson with the winning runs in the bottom of the 8th inning against Silo.
Silo had tied the game with three runs in the sixth and took a 6-5 lead in the top of the seventh.
The loss was Silo’s first of the season.
In addition to the gamewinning hit, Soward also had another single and RBI.
Hicklin had a homer, a double and three RBI against Healdton and Kayleigh Smith added three RBI. Makenzie Lane doubled twice, and Soward and Taceee Lewis had a two-bagger each.
Hicklin and Lane came back with homers against Pocola and Hicklin added a double. Patterson had three hits and two RBI.
The Lady Redskins collected a dozen hits in six innings against Tushka, but scored only twice. Hicklin, Soward, Lewis and Lane had two singles each. Lewis and Kayse Higdon drove in the runs.
For the week, Hicklin was 10-for-16 with three home runs and 7 RBI.
