A student from Chandler High School has been named to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Teen Board for the 2026-27 year.
Madelyn Bridge is one of 51 11th- and 12th-graders selected to this year’s board, according to a press release from the organization. The board represents 38 schools from across the state and will come together to learn about Oklahoma’s history and people while helping support the Hall of Fame’s educational programs.
“It is inspiring to see how involved our Teen Board students are in their communities and schools,” said Anna Studstill, Oklahoma Hall of Fame Director of Exhibitions & Programs and Teen Board Liaison. “We enjoy providing an opportunity for these passionate students to come together to meet like-minded peers and learn more about our state and its people.”
The teen board provides the students with the chance to meet and learn from Oklahomans who are “changing the world.” They also practice valuable real-world skills and develop deeper connections to their communities, the press release said.
The Board is responsible for planning and implementing an annual fundraiser benefiting the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Gaylord-Pickens Museum’s Free Field Trip Program. It also funds an annual scholarship as part of the Oklahoma Scholarship Competition and to date, the Board has raised a total $386,000.
