Regional baseball tournaments for most area schools are this week. Regionals for Class 2A schools, which include Dale and Stroud, will be released next week.
The state tournaments for Classes A and B will be May 7-9 and for Classes 2A-6A will be May 14-16.
This week’s games: Carney:
The Bulldogs head to Asher for their regional and will face the host Indians at 11 a.m. Thursday. With a win, they play at 4 p.m. against the winner of McCurtain vs. Battiest. A loss puts them in the 6:30 game against the McCurtain-Battiest loser.
Subsequent games will be at Asher and will depend on outcomes of Thursday’s games.
Chandler:
The Lions are in a three-team regional at Marlow. They play Casady at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Marlow and against Marlow at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Subsequent games will be at Marlow and will depend on outcomes of Wednesday’s games.
Davenport:
Davenport goes to Drummond, southwest of Enid, to play Fargo-Gage/Fort Supply at 1:30 Thursday. A win pits the Bulldogs against the Drummond-Quinton winner at 4 p.m. A loss puts them into the 6:30 game. Subsequent games depend on the outcome of Thursday’s play.
Meeker is in a three-team regional at Chisholm and will play back-to-back games on Thursday. They’ll face Holdenville at 11 a.m. and Chisholm at 1:30 p.m. Subsequent games will depend on the outcome of Thursday’s games.
McLoud:
The Redskins go to Heritage Hall Thursday for a regional with three private schools. They’ll face Community Christian at 1:30. If they win, they’re back a t 4 p.m. against the winner of Heritage Hall and Harding Charter Prep. If they don’t, they play the Heritage Hall-Harding loser at 6:30. Subsequent games depend on the outcome of Thursday’s play.
NRC heads northeast to play Eufaula at 1:30 Thursday at Skiatook. With a win, the Cougars play at 4 p..m. against the winner of Skiatook and Locust Grove. With a loss, they’ll play the Skiatook-Locust Grove loser at 6:30. Subsequent games depend on the outcome of Thursday’s play.
The Red Devils go to Davis and will play Bethel at 1:30 Thursday. If they win, they play again at 4 p.m. against the Davis-Blackwell winner. If they don’t, they play at 6:30 p.m.
The WTs head to the Winding Stair Mountains to play Talihina at 11a.m. Thursday at Talihina. With a win, they’ll play the Elmore City-Wister winner at 4 p.m. at Talihina. A loss puts them against the ECWister loser at 6:30. Subsequent games depend on the outcome of Thursday’s play.
