Agra man to reappear with lawyer in child sex abuse case

An Agra man facing two counts of child sexual abuse has been ordered to reappear in court with an attorney in April.John David Somers, Jr., 33 at the time he was charged, has entered an innocent plea. District Judge Sarah Bridge has ordered him to reappear at 9 a.m. on April 15.

A $10,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of man who has a previous conviction for a similar charge.Damien Cocca, 40, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on March 14, 2025 with domestic assault and battery by strangulation.

Over 16 fires burn roughly 10,000 acres

Over 130 fires in 44 counties burned about 170,000 acres in Oklahoma on Friday, according to Gov. Kevin Stitt. Current estimates state that there were over 300 homes and structures destroyed, along with four deaths and at least 142 injured.

TheChandlerCityCouncil voted to change the speed limit and add signs along Joe Long Drive in their monthly meeting on March 13.Currently, the speed limit is 35 miles per hour, but it will be lowered to 25 miles per hour to match the surrounding roads .
