It seems we continue to hear frequently about incidents related to bullying. Some of these have tragic consequences. For those we are made aware of, there are probably thousands upon thousands of them that we know nothing about. Many of us have been victims of bullying. I was one of those.

Out-of-state faces drug charges

A case involving an out-of-state driver who is facing two felony drug-related charges has been set for disposition in April. Lin Pi Xing, 51, of New York was formally charged Feb.

Local Boards of Education and their administrators should be able to run their school districts without fear of reprisal from state officials. We regularly provide coverage of several school board meetings. They seem capable of deciding issues that are within their responsibility to make.

Hunting and fishing have changed so much since I was a kid. Of course that’s been considerably over 60 years ago. That can probably be attributed to all the various rules and regulations put in place by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation over a period of time.

Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to change the position of Emergency Management Assistant Director to an exempt status.
