Seniors Kileigh Mixon from Stroud and Riley Randall from Meeker and freshman Lila McGough from Chandler won two events each Saturday at the Tiger Classic track meet in Stroud. McGough won the 200 and 400 meter dashes and helped the Chandler girls to a second-place finish.

The 66 Conference All-conference has been released, with 15 girls and 15 boys making the roster.

Lincoln and Pott counties were well represented at the basketball state tournaments last week in Oklahoma City. Dale won the boys and girls state championships in Class 2A, Prague’s boys made it to the semifinals in Class 3A and North Rock Creek’s boys played in the Class 4A quarterfinals.

Dale High School’s basketball teams each captured a Gold Ball last weekend, the boys winning their second consecutive state championship and the girls winning their first state title under head coach Eric Smith.

Chandler’s track squads competed at the Moore track meet on Saturday against a field of 5A and 6A schools. The girls finished 12th and the boys 14th, with freshman Lila McGough finishing third.

Initial appearance set in manslaughter

A $20,000 bench warrant issued for the arrest of a young Prague man charged with first degree manslaughter has been returned and filed and his initial appearance set. A formal charge was filed March 2 this year in Lincoln County District Court against Joseph Resin Linnhuber.
