The Dale Pirates acknowledge their fans Saturday at the OG&E Coliseum after winning their fifth consecutive Class 2A state championship. The Pirates romped past Fairland, 82-40, in the finals and finished 30-2 for the season.

High winds lead to power outages across state

Strong winds knocked out power for many homes across Oklahoma on Sunday, including some in Lincoln County.The entire state was under a red flag fire warning, with Lincoln County especally on alert as March 14 marked the one year since fires burned through around 10,000 acres in the area.

Data center courting Stroud

The City of Stroud could be getting a data center.At the regular City Council meeting on March 12, City Manager Bob Pearman updated City Council members on a data center that had expressed interest in building in Stroud, saying they had been transparent about everything.

Hope Birdwell, a senior at Prague High School, recently served as a page at the Oklahoma House of Representatives for Rep. Jim Shaw, R-Chandler.Every year, hundreds of juniors and seniors from across the state join in the House High School Page Program at the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City.
