Marshall “Cajun” Lee Hamlet

Marshall “Cajun” Lee Hamlet was born July 11, 1941, in Farris, Okla. He died July 17, 2021, in Stroud, Okla., at the age of 80 years. Cajun was the son of Virgil M. Hamlet and Lanora Gibson. Cajun was a longtime resident of Stroud.

Preceding him in death was his father and mother and other relatives. Cajun leaves behind his wife of 40 years Donna Hamlet of Stroud; stepsons David and wife Carol Cornett of Stroud, Tim and wife Gale Moore of West Virginia and stepdaughters, Sharon and husband Glenn Hill of Stroud, Angie and husband Patrick Smith of Edmond; numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a host of other family and friends.

When Cajun turned 18, he joined the United States Army and served at the rank of Private 2 nd Class as a Medical Corpsman. Cajun worked as a Truck Driver and in the oilfield during his life. If you knew Cajun, he always had a whopper of a story to tell you. He loved to hunt and fish and watch old western shows.
