Jo Ann (Hagar) Buck was born September 16, 1934 in Carney, Oklahoma to Guy and Cleo (Roe) Hagar. She passed away July 21, 2023 in Tryon at the age of 88.
Jo played basketball in high school. She met and married the love of her life at 16 and traveled the world raising her children as a military wife.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Cleo Hagar; sisters, Barbara Porter and her husband Farish, Mary Lou and her husband Bob Buck; her loving husband of 59 years, Jack Buck; and brotherin- law, Tom Crume. Survivors include her children, Susie Bates and her husband John of Wellston, Kenny Buck of Tryon; four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Johnny Hagar and his wife Shirley, Dorthy Crume, Bill Hagar; brother-in-law, Johnny Buck; along with other family and friends.
A graveside funeral was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Carney Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
