Lincoln County commissioners this week opened bids on the construction of the OSU Extension Building and approved submitting the budget request to the budget maker.
Thirteen different companies submitted bids on the building project. The base bids ranged from a low of $314,950 to a high of $1,997,000.
All of the other base bids were at least $1.5 million or more.
The bids were referred back to the engineer for review who will later make a recommendation to the county commissioners on the lowest and most qualified bid.
Time of construction ranged from 10 weeks up to 52 weeks.
On the budget, County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said the total budget is more than $15 million and runs from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
Commissioners also adopted an amended resolution regarding a donation from the Lincoln County Citizen’s Alliance changing the amount to $1,000 for a mail out of a Public Notice.
They approved the Scope of Work by WSB for the Safe Streets grant but tabled the grant writing and grant management services by WSB.
Commissioners also approved an electric service agreement for the OSU Building at the fairgrounds.
In other business commissioners: Adopted a resolution setting up the account for the $1.1 million Industrial Access Project in District 1.
Approved agreements with Apprentice Information Systems.
Approved Lincoln County Treasurer’s Employee Personnel Policies.
Approved REAP grant closeout documents for asphalt overlay on 3500 Rd. in District 1.
Took no action on requests to the County Road Machinery and Equipment Revolving Fund program.
Adopted a resolution authorizing General Fund reimbursement for the 911 Trust Authority Payroll in Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
Adopted a resolution setting up an account for Plains Pipeline Grant for Emergency Management.
Approved the Purchase Card payment approval form.
