Tigers get the W

Up next: Davis at Noble on Friday afternoon

Stroud manhandled Salina, 56-21, Friday night and heads to Noble Friday for a Class 2A-II state semifinal match with Davis.

Stroud led, 14-0, after the first period and then removed all suspense from the game with four secondquarter touchdowns.

The Friday game kicks off at 1 p.m., with the forecast calling for mostly sunny skies, cool temps and little chance of rain.

The winner of that game will face the winner of the Vian-Colcord semifinal at 1 p.m. the following Friday at the University of Central Oklahoma.

The Tigers are ranked second in 2A-II this week, according to Maxpreps, and Davis is ranked fourth.

The Tigers are 12-0 on the season and have won every game except one - a 21-14 victory in the season opener against Chandler - by at least three touchdowns.

Davis goes into the game with an 8-4 record and has won three in a row since losing at Holdenville, 22-15, in district.

The Wolves have been a traditional power, winning six state championships, the most recent coming in 2013 and 2014.
