The Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Festival will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, this year, in downtown Chandler.
The festival will kick off early with a holiday market at the Museum of Pioneer History running from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. The rest of the festival will start at 5 p.m., including the Courthouse Door Decorating Contest, arts and crafts, face painting, a hot chocolate bar, gingerbread house making, street vendors, downtown shopping, a food drive for God & Peoples Pantry, and more. There will also be photo opportunities, and Santa Claus will be on the courthouse Most activities will take place inside the courthouse or on the lawn.
The Chamber Bucks drawing will take place at the judges stand at 6 p.m., while the Chandler School Choirs will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parade kicks off at 7 p.m. with the tree lighting and singing of “Silent Night” around the tree to follow shortly after, along with fireworks.
Float winners will be announced along with the final Chamber Bucks drawing after the tree lighting.
