Beverly NaomiWard, age 76, of Davenport, Oklahoma, passed away peacefullyonDecember 17, 2025, at her home in Davenport, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 17, 1949, in Sparks, Oklahoma, to Willie “Bill” and Elsie (Spears) Grammer.
Beverly married Howard “Bruce” Ward Jr. on October 4, 1964. She spent her early days working in sewing factories and then her later days as a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her biggest joy was her family. She showed unconditional love to any who crossed her path and had many, many friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Elsie; her husband of 46 years, Bruce Ward; her siblings JR Grammer, Billie Slimp, Troy Grammer, and Linda Quinn. Survivors include her daughters Leah Nickell of Davenport and Angel Marquez of Davenport; siblings, Tom Grammer of Stroud, Albert and wife Shirley Grammer of Stroud; grandchildren, Brooks Nickell of Davenport, Noah Nickell of Edmond, Amanda Lewis and husband Chris of Davenport, Keslie Wilson of Stillwater; great-grandchildren Emmyt Lewis, Naoma Lewis, Brucie Lewis, Sylas Lewis, Elena Nickell, Koda Nickell, Savannah Rommel, and Samuel Romell, along with many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., January 1,7 at the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma.
