Tena Mittasch (aka Ernestine Lavon Butler) entered this world on April 26, 1941, to John and Vera (Smothers) Butler and left to join her Heavenly Father on April 3, 2026, at the age of 84.
Tena resided in Carney at the time of her death with her loving husband of 25 years, Jerry Mittasch.
Tena is survived by her loving husband and three children. She is also survived by a sister and two brothers. There are numerous family members, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends that are too many to mention but who knew and loved Tena for the kind, generous, loving woman she was. She is joining her five other siblings in heaven as well as her Daddy and Momma and one son.
A celebration of Tena’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., April 26, 2026 (her birthday) in the Carney School Multi-Purpose Room. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate the amazing life of Tena. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
