On July 16, 2026, the world got a little darker. Shannon Sue Bottger was a bright and giving light that burned out far too soon. She was born on August 12, 1965, in Iolo, Kansas, to Sandra Sue Archer.
Shannon was a naturally loving person; she made all who met her feel welcomed and special. She cared deeply for her community and family. She dedicated 23 years of her life to the service of her community as an Agra volunteer firefighter while providing love and comfort to her family.
Shannon lived to make the world around her a better place.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Lowell Bottger, of the home; daughter, Shannon Bottger; along with a host of friends.
A celebration of Shannon’s life was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2026, in the Agra High School Gymnasium.Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
