Rebecca Lynn (Porche) Jones of Shawnee received healing along with her wings on August 9, 2026, at SSM Health Midwest City, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and dear friends. She was born on June 12, 1961, in Paris, Texas to Sonny Porche and Bobbie Jo Ball-Griffin. Becky raised her children and worked in retail and various other jobs for years before she spent several years working with adults with disabilities. She was eventually able to stay at home to finish raising her children and begin enjoying grandchildren. She met the love of her life Richard Jones in 1990 while living in Yukon. Sharing many of the same interests, together they worked to build their life and family. They lived in Yukon for several years before moving to Tecumseh, Searcy, Arkansas and Fort Worth, Texas. They eventually moved back to the Tecumseh area to be near family and the grandkids. Becky is preceded in death by Richard Jones, one brother Thomas Porche and one grandson. Surviving Becky are ten children: Krista Jones of Tecumseh, Mark and April Jones of Broken Arrow, Tonya and Tom Cotter of Wellston, Candice Jones of Tecumseh, Donald Akens of Tecumseh, Tosha Akens, Aaron and Jenny Akens and Chris Akens all of Shawnee, Thomas and Sherry Palmer of Prague, and Anthonygene Jones. Sister Joanne Olds-Nix of Texas and brother Paul of Arkansas as well as her beloved foster mother Joey Stevens “Mama Joy” of Texarkana, Arkansas. Not to forget her 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren plus another due in December. As mentioned earlier, Becky never met a stranger and many of them were considered sisters or daughters more than friends, especially Chelsea Warburton, Kathy Whalen and Rhena Glen. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 22 at 1 p.m. Bethel Acres Assembly, 18509 Bethel Road, Bethel Acres, Ok. Officiating the service will be grand-daughter Kinley Jones-Galvan, Pastor Larry Townsend of Bethel Acres Assembly and Pastor Kevin Fox of Karis Ministries, Tecumseh.
