Greta Sirmons was born June 18, 1937, in Cheyenne, Okla., and died Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She was 82 years old.
Sirmons, the daughter of Mark and Emma (Hand) Davis, married A.J. Sirmons on August 4, 1954, in Seattle, Wash.
She graduated from high school in Blair, Okla., and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. She was a social worker for the Department of Human Services and a member of Tryon Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers Vernon Davis and Harold Davis; and her sisters, Zola Clements, Letha Moxley, Thelma Ashley, and Elma Newcomb.
Survivors include her husband; her sons and daughters-in-law, Marty and Sharon Sirmons of Springfield, Mo., and Wade and Peggy Sirmons of Justin, Texas; her sister, Wynona Calkins of Granite, Okla.; five grandchildren and their spouses; eight great-great grandchildren and their spouses; seven great-great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Monday, December 16, 2019, at Lone Grove Cemetery in Lone Grove, Okla., with Bro. Bruce Kirby officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home in Ardmore, Okla.
