Harold Lynn Caruthers of Davenport was born October 24, 1933, in Mud College, Okla. He died Wednesday, October 2, 2019, in Stroud at the age of 85 years.
Caruthers, the son of Marie Smith and Roland Caruthers, married Selva Wuanita Jordan on September 30, 1955.
He was a 1954 graduate of Davenport High School and served in the United States Army.
He retired from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife and his son Jerry Caruthers.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Robert and Alicia Goforth, Jessica Goforth, and Daniel and Jamie Goforth; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 7, 2019, at Kendrick Assembly of God with the Rev. Rocky Williams officiating. Burial followed at Kellerby Cemetery, north of Prague, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
