Joan Lynn DeArmond of Chandler was born July 25, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio. She died Saturday, February 29, 2020, in Chandler at the age of 77 years.
DeArmond, the daughter of Denver and Glenna (Butler) Thompson, married David Ray DeArmond on January 4, 1964, in West Manchester, Ohio.
She was a 1960 graduate of West Carrollton High School in Dayton and worked building cash registers.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and three infant sons.
Survivors include two daughters, Jody Lynn Vaughn and husband Chris and DeeDee Lewis DeArmond-Anderson and husband Mark, all of Chandler; her son Jason Bill and wife Shelly of New Caney, Texas; her brother Thomas Thompson of Brighton, Colo., two sisters, Lana Miller of Denver, Colo., and Catherine McCullough of Longmont, Colo.; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with Jimmy Watts officiating.
Burial followed at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
