The Davenport City Council voted to restore pay to the police chief at its regular meeting on Feb. 17 at Town Hall.Not only did the Council vote to restore pay, but it also restored pay dates to the 1st and 15th of every month and granted the chief back pay for six months at $953.33 a month, $476.

Burglary charges

A man has been charged with burglary in the second degree for allegedly entering a building in Chandler with the intent to steal.The charges were filed on Feb. 11 against Levi Ellis of Prague, 46, by District Attorney Adam Panter.

Bice delivers check to Chandler airport project

The Chandler Regional Airport has recieved grant funding of $8 million for the runway expansion project.On Feb. 17, Rep. Stephanie Bice present City Manager Jason Orr with a ceremonial check.The grant was applied for about a year and a half ago, Bice said at a short ceremony at the airport.
