Lincoln County commissioners this week adopted the six-year County Improvement of Roads and Bridges allocation plan and resolution. They also adopted a County Bridge and Road Improvement resolution for road work on bus routes in Carney, Wellston and Perkins with reimbursement from the Iowa Tribe.

Planters to spruce up downtown Chandler

With spring in the air, downtown Chandler is about to get a bit of a spruce-up. Planters will line the sidewalks on Manvel, running from Sixth Street down to 11th Street.The plants are part of a beautification project by the City of Chandler.

Stitt: block grants could help schools

Block grants could help more money reach schools directly, said Gov.
