The dating world in 2020

Dating is hard. Dating in 2020 with a global pandemic is even harder. It’s like trying to eat mashed potatoes with a straw. No matter how much effort you put into it, it just sucks and there’s no reward. As a single woman who lives alone, the quarantine was hard.

My doc called me on Monday to give me the results of some blood work from Friday. For several years, I have gotten the same general comments: “Your good choles “Your good cholesterol is a little low, and your bad cholesterol is a little high. Aerobic exercise will help that.

1. Update on Meeker Lake Quapaw 15 Project A. Jeff Dean, Senior Engineer, GED Technical Services returned my call about the soil samples. He blamed the hold up on COVID19 and said they were done with their lab reports and have been turned over to another agency for their report.

The beauty of the fall season

Fall is such a great time of year. It’s one of my favorites for several reasons. It’s starting to get a little cooler and the leaves usually begin falling at this time of the year. Depending on how cool it gets and how quickly that is will determine somewhat how much the trees shed their leaves.

I was watering on Main Street last Friday morning and got to visit with some nice people who were visiting our community. The first two ladies I met, pictured to the right, were Gracie Szakin (left) from Coffeyville, Texas and Joey Hoecker (right) from Edmond, Oklahoma.

Consequences of vacation

They say every vacation has it’s consequences and I am suffering through mine. Last week, I went to Phoenix, AZ to surprise my sister for her birthday. I had a great time catching up with family, seeing old friends, exploring new canyons and trying new foods.

Vegetarian stew

Tuesday may have been the nicest day in the history of weather. Sunny, just a hint of coolness early in the morning. A perfect day for anything you want to do outside. But wait. What’s that hovering just over the horizon? Why, it’s chilly weather, that’s what it is.
