ChandlerFor the week: 2-0 with a tie. Wins overJones (11-1 and 11-1) and a 1-1 tie with Latta. Now 29-3-1, ranked No.2 in Class 3A and Super regional champions.Chandler’s Lady Lions made quick work of their Super regional Thursday, beating Jones 11-1 twice.

Davenport 36, Yale 30

Davenport’s Bulldogs, led by the rushing attack of Brody Robinson and the air assault of Chase Mitchell, claimed a 36-30 contest over Yale last Friday night.Head coach Grant Powell said afterwards, “Last year that team beat us 49-0. It felt good to avenge that loss.

Metro 42, Chandler 14

The Metro Christian Patriots rolled into Chandler ranked No. 2 in the state last week, and showed why they deserve that ranking.The Patriots took a 14-0 lead in the first period and controlled much of the game.

Stroud 54, Meeker 8

The Stroud Tigers finished up the first half of their regular season on a roll, beating Meeker, 54-8, Friday night and establishing themselves as the team to beat in District 2A-II-1.The Tigers are 2-0 in district now and 4-1 for the season.Meeker stands at 1-4 for the year and 0-2 in league play.

Prague had the top three individuals and breezed to the girls championship at the 66 Conference cross country meet last week.McLoud claimed the boys championship.Jocelyn Ward won the meet with a time of 12:12.73, Hanna Rolette was second with a 12:17.

Things started off the way Chandler wanted Friday night, with the Lions taking an early 7-0 lead and having two other scoring opportunities.After the first quarter, though, it went off script and Sequoyah-Tahlequah came back to claim a 24-14 district win.
