Hixson, Smith are April Lions

Piper Hixson and Bryston Smith have been named April Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club. Piper Hixson, the daughter of Shanna Booze and Kent Hixson, maintains a 3.88 grade point average. She has been on the Principal’s and Superintendent’s honor rolls throughout her high school years.

McConnell chosen for Youth Leadership class

Taylor McConnell, a junior at Wellston High School, has been accepted into the twenty first class of Youth Leadership Oklahoma.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

Easter was a grand day at Prairie Pointe. Joe Bill Shelhope, Lynn and Jon Taylor, the interim pastor and his wife, came from First Christian Church for our church services. Bro.

It’s her birthday!

The beloved seamstress of Lincoln County will be turning 80 this Sunday, April 4. Due to health concerns we will be having a come & go gathering at the Caldwell family home Sunday. We encourage anyone that would like to partake in the celebration to stop by between 2-4pm.

NRC academics,students of the month

The North Rock Creek academic team, above, earned a second-place finish at the District tournament and a third-place finish in Regionals. This secured the team a second trip to state, which will take place in April.

Drama team to regionals

The CHS Drama students will be competing in the OSSAA Regional Speech and Debate competition this weekend. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Drama Department has been unable to perform for live audiences this year, and the regional competition will be a virtual event.
