Despite COVID-19, the Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Trophy Auction and Pig Roast will go on again this year. It will be the same time it always is held, the first Monday of February, but it’s location has changed. It’s scheduled for Monday, Feb.

A total of 8,004 students were named to the 2020 fall semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, including 3,449 students named to the President’s Honor Roll for earning an A grade in all their courses.

The filing period for school board offices in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties opened Monday and it continued through Wednesday. Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Melissa Stambaugh said these were the candidates who had filed through Tuesday for the following offices.

UCO to hold virtual commencement

The University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond will celebrate the achievements of approximately 1,074 graduates during the Fall 2020 Virtual Commencement Ceremony premiering at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12.

Food giveaway in Wellston

On Friday, Dec. 11, free food will be distributed at the Wellston Baseball Field area at 900 Hickory. This is not a needs-based program, so the food can go to anyone without restriction. Food distribution will begin at 11:45 a.m. and continue until supplies are gone.
