Deferred term in assault case

A Prague man who waived his preliminary hearing on a charge of felony assault and battery charge following a reported altercation with his girl friend has entered a no contest plea and has been given a deferred term.

The girls’ wrestling teams from McLoud and Chandler High Schools qualified for State, which is to take place Feb. 27 to March 1 at The Big House in Oklahoma City.McLoud was named the 5A West Regional Champions, with eight of nine girls qualifying.Kendra Perrien was out with an injury.

The Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Banquet on Feb. 11 at the Route 66 Interpretative Center. On the left is Hallie Murray, the Chamber of Commerce scholarship winner for this year. Murray plans to attend Baylor University and major in astrophysics.
