The Chandler Public Library will celebrate National Library Week April 4-9, by again waiving fines. If you have overdue books, return them that week and fines will be waived.
The Library still has copies of “Juniper’s Butterfly Garden.” When patrons check out the book and return it, they will receive a coupon good for four people to get into the Oklahoma City Zoo free.
Story Time will continue every Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. through May 24. The library staff is in the planning stages of the Summer Reading Program. It will only be for ages 0-5 and sign-ups for the Summer Reading Program will begin in May. The Library will have mailboxes for children attending the program to receive weekly incentives and activities. The theme for this year’s program is “Oceans of Possibilities @ Your Library.”
There is so much to do at the Library. There are public computers available for internet access, free wi-fi, and study tables available to do work or use your laptop. There are over 10,000 books, audiobooks on compact disc and videos for check out. Patrons with library cards also have access to thousands of e-books, audiobooks and videos on the Oklahoma Virtual Library.
Educational helps are available on the website at chandlerlibrary.okpls.org, which keeps you up to date on programs and new books the library purchases. Other services available at the Library are faxing, photo copying and scanning.
