Chandler School Board hires 2, accepts resignation for East Side principal

Chandler Board of Education members hired two new personnel, modified the terms of employment of another and accepted the resignations of several others during their meeting this week.

School Supt. Scott Baade said board members modified the contract of Lisa Herring to make her the Interim principal of East Side Elementary School.

He said they hired Brittney Herrmann as an Administrative Assistant at East Side Elementary School and they employed Cobie Yates as a U.S. History teacher.

Baade stated they accepted the resignations from the following: Charm Hoehn, East Side Principal; Kim Leatherwood, high school English teacher; Marilyn Sokolowski, Special Education teacher; and Chelsea Wilhite, Paraprofessional.

Board members approved the Memorandum of Understanding with Stroud Public Schools Alternative Education Co-op for the 2025/2026 school year.

They also approved a service contract for Foundation Therapy PLLC for Occupational Therapy services for the 2025/2026 school year.

The board approved a service contract for Jacie Fite for Physical Therapy services for the 2025/2026 school year.

Board members approved an agreement with Janice Gray for psychometric testing and consultation services for the 2025/2026 school year, They approved a service contract for Jennifer Counce for psychological testing and consultation services for the 2025/2026 school year.

Board members approved the 2025 Senior Class to attend an out-ofstate trip to Branson, Mo. on May 14, 2025.

They approved an out-ofstate trip for drama to attend the National Conference and Competition at Indiana Bloomington University June 22-June 28, 2025.

They approved a list of Google Chromebooks and parts as surplus.
