Chandler Board of Education members this week hired several personnel and accepted the resignations of a couple of others.
School Supt. Scott Baade said Amber Norris was hired as a cafeteria worker, Sara Andis was employed as a reading specialist for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.
He stated that Trinity Holland was hired to serve as the secondary adjunct vocal/general music teacher as a support employee.
Baade said the board acknowledged the reelection of Tony Lee to his Office No. 4 board seat and Doug Bridge to his No. 1 board position. Both won re-election unopposed in the recent filing period that closed last Friday.
Their new terms begin after the School Board General Election in April of 2024.
Resignations were accepted from Marilyn Meyers, choir teacher and James Farrow, maintenance director. Baade explained that Farrow is retiring.
Board members voted to approve the school lease agreement for the 83.51 acres with the terms beginning Jan. 1, 2024 and ending Dec. 31, 2024. An auction will be held in the Superintendent’s office at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, Baade said.
