A charge of soliciting prostitution filed against a Meeker School Board member in June of 2022, was dismissed last week by state prosecutors.
Bret Wood, 53 at the time, was charged on June 16 of last year with the misdemeanor. He was accused of between Aug. 23, 2020 and Sep. 25, 2020, in Meeker in Lincoln County with soliciting prostitution by soliciting, inducing, enticing or procuring another to commit an act of lewdness, assignation or prostitution with himself for monetary payment.
Court records show that on Feb. 1, the state made a motion to dismiss the charge and the order was filed the same day.
Wood was re-elected to a new five-year term without opposition in December of 2021.
