Lincoln County commissioners have approved making application for a Community Development Block Grant for the Jacktown Fire Department for fire apparatus.
Commissioners also took no action on applying for a CDBG grant for a parking lot for the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
Their actions came during a special meeting on March 24.
Darla Riley, first deputy to Lincoln County Clerk Alicia Wagnon, explained the CDBG grant for Jacktown seeks $300,000 for fire apparatus.
Commissioners also approved Jacktown’s leverage document which is for $40,000, Riley noted.
The commissioners also adopted a resolution for the CDBG application, Riley said.
She said commissioners will look sometime later at applying for the CDBG grant for the parking lot.
Also, the commissioners approved the citizen participation plan for the CDBG application and the Fair Housing Proclamation and adopted a resolution for April 23 as Fair Housing Month.
In other business, the commissioners agreed to donate $2,000 to the Jeremiah House for counsel and prevention of Opioid addiction.
Commissioners also voted to hire bankruptcy attorney Gary Hammond to represent Lincoln County in United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma in a Keystone Gas Corp. case.
