Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to purchase a John Deere Tractor and Boom Mower for District 3.
District 3 Commissioner Lee Doolen, who is also chairman of the commission, explained the purchase was to replace a mower that had been stolen.
Total cost of the tractor and boom mower is $155,000, Doolen said. “I took the insurance money and also put some from District 3 into it,” he added, which amounted to $60,000.
The commissioners adopted a use tax resolution to make the purchase to be paid back into the Commissioner Equipment account by District 3.
Commissioners also voted to approve a lease agreement for a 2022 Volvo four-wheel drive loader in District 3 for $68,760.
Doolen said the lease is for 96 months.
The commissioners and other personnel continued to review and amend the proposed Lincoln County Employee handbook.
