Felony in larceny arrest

A Prague man faces a felony charge and a misdemeanor count following his arrest by Seminole police last October.

David Franklin Lewis, 40, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on March 2 with larceny of automobile, aircraft or other motor vehicle.

He also faces a misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

In the felony, Lewis is accused of stealing a 2005 Silverado owned by Ronald Lunn on Oct. 3, 2020.

The misdemeanor count states he stole a cell phone of Karen Vancuren on about Oct. 3, 2020.

In supplemental information filed by the District Attorney’s office, it states that on Sep. 15, 2005 in Lincoln County Lewis was convicted of second degree burglary and of knowingly concealing stolen property and sentenced to 10 years in the custody of the Department of Corrections.

The information further states Lewis was also convicted in Lincoln County on June 30, 2020 of larceny of an automobile, aircraft or other motor vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years in the custody of the department of corrections.

He was convicted in Lincoln County on Sep. 15, 2005 for larceny from a house and sentenced to 10 years in the custody of DOC.
