The scripture says: You say you believe in God you do well, but so does the devil and he trembles. God said to love the Lord thy God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul, and all our strength.
Everything of this world passes away but God does not. The Scriptures teach us how to see God. Jesus said anyone can love his own but to have God’s love we will care about others. If we are of God our concern will be how our actions and words affect others. If we look after other people, He will look after us. God does not make us selfish. Most likely as we grow up our parents make us selfish. Even though we know better we don’t want to give that part up.
When we know the Lord our God, we will see Him by action in us and those who are not selfish. As we get older, we see how short this life really is. When we become part of our Creator, we will see what it is like to be His child. We will have His power. Think about this and see what might be stopping us from having His power. Remember, Jesus said if we keep His sayings, He will do what we ask. It’s really all our choice.
