A Lincoln County student has been awarded an academic scholarship from the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture.
Kaden James from Chandler and a Wellston graduate was awarded the Joseph Fleming Memorial Freshman Scholarship. James is majoring in Agribusiness, according to a press release from the university.
“We are proud to support our new students as they begin their academic careers in the Ferguson College,” said Cynda Clary, associate dean of academic programs. “We look forward to seeing the accomplishments they will have and are grateful for our donors, who support these scholarships and the success of our students.”
The scholarship is part of the roughly $1.8 million students can receive from the Ferguson College. They are open to students from all areas of study and can be combined with college and departmental opportunities, the release said.
