Four Lincoln County students received scholarships from the Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative’s (CVEC) Round Up Board for 2026, according to a press release from the cooperative.
Hanna Campbell from Chandler High School and Addison Paige Richardson, Hope Birdwell and Kolton Yeager from Prague High School were among the 12 recipients. A total of $12,000 was awarded.
The scholarships are funded through CVEC members who participate in the Operation Round Up program, which provides aid for a range of community needs, including scholarships, local organizations and charitable initiatives through the CVEC service area. Participants simply round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar, with the extra going to the program.
“These scholarships reflect a shared commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of local communities,” the press release said.
