Meeker Board of Education members here this week appointed a new member to board seat No. 3, evaluated the superintendent and accepted a resignation.
Following an executive session and returning to open meeting, the board members appointed Steven Mooy to board seat No. 3. He takes the place of Stacy Miller who resigned from the board after moving out of the district.
Mooy had filed last week for School Board Seat No. 1, but withdrew his candidacy Election Board Dena Bromley said on Tuesday morning.
Mooy will serve the unexpired term of Miller until 2028.
Board members also accepted the resignation of Elementary Secretary Lacey Manning.
They evaluated School Supt. Jeff Pruitt.
Board members also approved having high school graduation at Camp Cargill on May 15, 2026.
They approved contracting with Renaissance Architecture and approved of contracting with Joe D.. Hall as construction manager.
Pruitt explained those two contracts are for anticipated future construction.
