Meeker Town Board of Trustees during a brief special meeting last Friday rescinded an action they took during their Oct. 18 meeting and approved two other items.
They voted to rescind a resolution that authorized then Mayor Jeff Wilbourn to sign for the Town of Meeker to apply for a grant from the Central Oklahoma Economic Development District (COEDD).
Wilbourn has since resigned his position as mayor and was hired as the town’s administrator.
During the special meeting Oct. 29, the Trustees approved a certification stating Acting Mayor Donna Weber is the duly elected official of the town authorized to sign and submit the application for the REAP grant for street improvements.
They also adopted a resolution authorizing the application for financial assistance from the REAP fund.
