Miller elected District 2 commissioner

Marlon Miller is the newly elected District Two Commissioner in Lincoln County.

Miller received 68 percent of the vote in the Republican runoff last Tuesday, unseating incumbet Troy Evans.

Miller had 694 votes to 325 for Evans.

Since he faces no opponents in the General Election, Miller will be sworn in Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 before the monthly Commissioners meeting.

“I’m very excited for what’s going to happen,” Miller said. “I’ve got big ideas.”

Miller said he plans in working to reestablish relationships with the tribes that have been lost over the past few years to help with funding roads, bridges and maintenance.

Miller said he wanted to thank those who supported him throughout the process.

“Thank you for getting out and supporting me,” he said. “Be sure to get out and vote in

November, to make your voices heard.”
