Several races developed during the three-day filing period for municipal offices in cities and towns in Lincoln County and some won positions when they were unopposed.
Kent McVey and Tony Wilson each filed in the race to be Chandler’s mayor. Current Mayor Gene Imel did not seek another term.
Chandler Ward IV Council Member Robin Crouch won a new term when no one filed against her.
Chandler Ward II incumbent Virgil Wilson drew two opponent, Cameron McBride and David Burgess.
In Prague, Cliff Bryant, Jr., filed for the Council member at large seat and Scott R. Smith filed for Ward No. 4.
Harlan A. Wilson filed for the Ward No. 3 seat at Prague. Each of those three won new four-year terms when they were unopposed.
At Stroud, Phyllis Craig and Raphe Thompson filed for the Ward No. 2 council member position and Debbie Jo Garrett filed for the No. 1. Council seat. Garrett won a new four-year term unopposed.
In the Town of Carney, Bo Gibbs Sr., and Jason Hubach won four-year terms on the Board of Trustees unopposed. No one filed for the two unexpired two-year terms on the Board.
In Meeker, Donna Weber, Mike Orman, Lanny Thompson and Michael Melton all have won reelection to their seats on the Board of Trustees when each was unopposed.
In Davenport, Autumn Wunderlich won a new four-year term as Town Clerk unopposed. Three filed for the two four-year terms on the Davenport Board of Trustees, including Mitchell Booze, Kimberly Mayhall and Jennifer Miller. The two receiving the highest number of votes will be elected.
In Tryon, six have filed for the Board of Trustees including Timothy Anderson, Cody E. Coleman, Rocky Cooper, Sandy Munier, Richard Meyer and Bradley E. Smith. Smith filed for the unexpired term and won when he was unopposed for that seat.
The three receiving the highest number of votes will win the three fouryear terms on the Board of Trustees.
In Warwick, Brad Williams filed for the Board of Trustees Office No. 3 position. Mary Franklin filed for the Warwick Town Treasurer position and Randall A. Franklin filed for the Office No.1 seat on the Board of Trustees.
Each won new terms when they were unopposed.
In Wellston, Carrie Morley and Paul E. Whitnah have filed for the Board of Trustees. They won four-year terms when they were unopposed. No one filed for the unexpired two-year term on the Board.
In Agra, Carolyn Roe won a four-year term as Town Clerk unopposed. Justin Brown and Jimmie Derrel Watkins filed for the unexpired two-year term. Laura Brown, Lori Molloy, Patricia Roe and Janene Stevens have filed for the three four-year terms on the Trustees.
The three receiving the most votes will be elected.
In Pottawatomie County, two persons have filed for the Ward No. 1 position on the McLoud City County.
They include incumbent Ralph Snider, who is also mayor, and Phil Solinger.
McLoud Ward 2 incumbent Becky Carpenter won a new four-year term unopposed.
