A woman charged with harboring her brother from justice has announced she’s ready for trial.
Kara Vancuren, 34, of Prague, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court July 29, 2022 with harboring a fugitive from justice. Lincoln County deputies reported in a probable cause affidavit that she is the sister of Mick Devin Vancuren who has been charged with multiple felonies and several misdemeanors in several separate cases.
Appearing before District Judge Traci Soderstrom at the felony disposition docket, Vancuren and her attorney announced she is ready for trial.
She is set for the jury trial call docket at 9:30 a.m. Friday and for jury trial at 9 a.m. Monday, June 5.
Vancuren is accused of aiding, assisting and concealing Mick Vancuren when she knew law enforcement officers were looking for him for the purpose of executing warrants for his arrest.
