Saddington was accused of having in his possession on Dec. 21, 2023, at the residence where he resides a semi automatic 22 caliber rifle located in his bedroom after he had been convicted on July 8, 1996 in Greene, Mo., of second degree assault.

He appeared before Judge Mueller on Dec. 22, 2023, made his initial appearance on Jan. 4 and she scheduled his pre-preliminary hearing for Jan. 18. His bond has been set at $5,000.
