Stolen vehicle charges

A Stroud resident has been charged with felonious possession of a stolen vehicle after he was arrested by the Davenport police chief in February.

Jonathan Cullum, 23, was formally charged on Feb. 24 in Lincoln County District Court with possession of a stolen vehicle.

He is accused of possessing a Chevrolet pickup truck on Feb. 11 in Lincoln County that had been stolen from Arthur Colbert.

Special Judge Emily Mueller set a bond of $5,000 for Cullum and following his initial appearance last week, scheduled a pre-preliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. today (March 4).

In a probable cause affidavit, Davenport Police Chief Johnny Jenkins states it was confirmed the truck was a vehicle stolen from Bristow.

According to the affidavit, the vehicle was involved in a pursuit with the Stroud Police Department and later got stuck in a creek behind a residence in Davenport.
