TheStroudSchoolBoard voted to renew contracts with several employees at its regular meeting on March 9.
Contracts were renewed for Nicholas Hoover as high school principal, Josh Calavan as middle school principal, James Wells as Parkview Elementary principal, Jim Campbell as athletic director, Kelsey Young as special education director and Matt Davis as grounds maintenance/ events supervisor for the 2026/27 school year.
It also voted to employ Jordan Hausher as a parttime middle school spring softball coach for the 2026 season and accepted the resignation of M. Neal Bacon as support personnel and coach.
While the Board voted to take no action on the 2026/27 school calendar, it did approve the Student Transfer Board Policy and a bus request from First Baptist Church for youth camp on June 15-20 and children’s camp from July 10-13, as well as an auditing contract with Jenkins Kemper, CPA for 2026/27.
The Board approved two overnight trip requests for the NDA Pom Camp for the pom team and the Bruin Football Camp for the football team. It took no action on a request from the cheer team for NCA Cheer Camp and another from the Archery team for an advanced competition with dates TBA. The Board didn’t approve a request from FCCLA for State Convention in Tulsa in April 2026.
