The Chandler Board of Education during its most recent meeting approved the employment of a new elementary teacher and also a part-time Title VI tutor.
School Supt. Melody Toma said Bailee Hall-Morgan was employed as a Kindergarten teacher and Whitney Herrmann was hired as a part-time Title VI tutor.
Board members also approved updating the Return to Learn 2.0 Plan for the 2021-2022 school year. Toma explained they updated it to say, “We will increase parent access in our buildings and we will allow school assemblies as our COVID numbers decrease and as safety measures allow.”
They voted to hold an auction on a school lease agreement for 83.51 acres of land with the terms beginning Jan. 1, 2022 and ending Dec. 31, 2022. Toma said the auction will be held in the superintendent’s office at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, this year.
