Chandler man to treatment

A Chandler man facing a felony and two misdemeanors after he allegedly took a van from an area nursing home will go through an in-patient treatment program.

Shannon Wayne Nicholas, 52, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Oct. 25 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a felony. He was also charged with two misdemeanors, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Feb. 21, on a motion to revoke by First District Attorney Adam Kallsnick, District Judge Traci Soderstrom ordered Nicholas to go through in-patient treatment through the Community Sentencing program. The judge set a status conference for May 23.
